Well I finally did it. I completed that novel I’ve been working on. More promotion for the book will occur on that side.

I started this blog to write. I knew with this little incentive I would be prompted to write. I posted pictures on it because I find visuals enticing and for me it made the writing even more enjoyable.

I am adding this page after a friend visited this blog and couldn’t find a story on it, not that all the things I write about aren’t stories. He was searching for one of my short stories. I haven’t posted those believing nobody really would want to read something I created from thin air. I realized this week-end I am a chicken. I am writing a book with the hopes that I can sell it to people to read. I hope it will be a story to enthrall an audience and take them to another place for a short while and bring them a small measure of enjoyment.

I have no business to hide the true motive behind this blog.

I write romantic fiction. I am a romantic at heart and I firmly believe in the happily ever after story. It is those stories I have written in my head since I was nine years old until at the age of fifty I decided there was nothing stopping me from putting all those words on to a white sheet of paper. Of course, once all those words made their way to paper I realized there was more to this process. I have spent the past year studying and learning how to write and how to put all those moments of conflict together in a book. I am not there yet, I don’t think, but I will get there.

The blog is just a means of practice. This page is where I intend to post stories. I wanted to post stories of my romance with my husband on Mr. Right, but he has not relinquished his rights to me. He doesn’t realize the charm in the story of how I chased him down . So until that day arrives, I will have to allow this page to satisfy my story needs, be they fictional or real.

I intend to post progress of my work in progress (WIP) on this page as well. Perhaps when I see the plain truth of its non-progress, I will be motivated to give myself a quick kick in the behind.

I will sign off to attend to that project immediately.

  1. Jeanne, your flowers are so beautiful and you have them grow wild while I struggle to keep the Becky daisies from crowding out the black eyed susans and purple cone flowers, lilies and lavender. By the way, I didn’t see any baby’s breath – the little white flowers with the yellow centers are something else – they were weeds when I was growing up and we used them for pretend food when we played house.

Give our love to the children and a hug to Corvette Man. Sold the Airstream so that phase of our life has ended but I’m sure there are other exciting times ahead.
Great reunion with uncles and aunts in the Smoky’s. We saw a mother bear and cubs, deer and wild turkey. Everyone was excited.
